Description:Couple in laundry-room, she discreetly crossing her fingers. Caption: not known Publication information: Label on verso indicates that this was for use in England only. Further specifics not known. Medium: Oil on masonite Size: 16 x 15.5” Signature: signed lower left. Condition:Light handling dirt at edges and outside the image are... easily matted out. Otherwise good, not framed. Comment:A great example of the period and of what Kidder did so well. Beyond the strength of the image, it's interesting to note that in the 1950's and 1960's several prominent illustrators, including Paul Burns and Herb Tauss, enjoyed great success working almost exclusively for the British magazines. Price: $1,600.
