Artist: Arthur Burdett Frost (1851-1928)

Condition: Sheet is mounted to a heavier board, overall very good, not framed.

Comment: Frost's contemporary Frederic S. Church was famous for painting allegorical pictures, primarily of attractive young women and animals. This is Frost's lighthearted adaptation of a typical Church subject. Color works of this degree of finish, by the colorblind artist, rarely come to market. A copy, though not quite complete, of the Smith volume will be included with the purchase of the artwork.
