Comment: Best known for his advertising illustration work, Riswold built his reputation on providing just enough detail to tell a story. The “Ooops factor” in this piece is more humorous and less overt based on the fact the the pajamas are too big, rather than too small. It's not simply the fact that the outfit's too small, rather the perception of what this will mean... primarily to the giver, that makes it particularly funny.
