Description: Motorcycle speeding through playground, ethereal policeman. Caption: not readily known Publication information: Traffic safety poster design, CA. 1970. Medium: Gouache on board Size: 20.5 x 28.25” Signature: signed lower right. Condition: Overall very good, small dent directly above the policeman's hand. Not framed. Comment: A great piece of cautionary story-telling geared towards recently-licensed teens. There was a time not all that long ago when certain genres of illustration... for example pulp magazine artwork, paperback book art and even pin-ups... were looked down upon. Mark my words, images such as this within the universe of safety-promotion are poised to be the next big thing. Price: SOLD
