Description: Couple at edge of bed Publication information: Paperback book cover, used for two separate titles: Cry Rape by Marco Viletti published by Beacon Books, as #B-454 in 1961 and The In Group by Herb Roberts also published by Beacon Books, as #B-833 in 1965. Medium: gouache Size: 19.5 x 14.5” Signature: initialed “D.” for Darcy, Chiriacka’s alter ego, lower right. Condition: Very good, modestly framed. Comment: A wonderfully dynamic composition of the sort that made everyone’s heart beat just a little faster in the 1960’s. Whether the contents of the book are as titillating as the cover artwork is always something open to discussion. Having not read the book, I’ll withhold my opinion. A copy of the 1961 book is included with the purchase. Price: SOLD
