Pyle, Ellen

Price: $ 8,250.00

Description: Children with flower stand on a rainy day

Comment: As close to a finished Post cover at a preliminary price as you’re likely to ever see. Over the last fifteen or twenty years, the market for cover designs for The Post has exploded with prices rising nicely across the board... be it Rockwell, Leyendecker or any of the scores of others who did covers for the magazine. If one has sufficient money to own a Rockwell Post cover, there are pieces available on the market. The “sufficient” part leaves most of us out. It takes more taste to not follow the herd. Artist was the sister-in-law of Howard Pyle, Father of American Illustration.

Price: $8,250 (+ $100 domestic shipping)
