Fuchs, Bernie

Price: $ 5,450.00

Description: Carpenters in Charleston, South Carolina.

Comment: Fuchs, as regular readers of this page will know, is a personal favorite of mine. I had the pleasure to know him well. I came to realize in assembling this batch for the website that of the twelve artists represented here, I knew, or at least met, six of them... that makes me feel privileged, but also old. I think that one of the things that made Bernie truly great was his ability to turn what one might call the off-moment into a great piece of story-telling. He had a way of making the everyday seem particularly special without trying to make it appear overly grandiose. Includes a copy of the book.
