Baumhofer, Walter M.

Print
Price: $ 4,000.00

Description: Indian on horseback with bow, cowboy at saloon door

Comment: Of course, by the 1950s, the world of the pulps was dead. Baumhofer was among the most effective in translating what he’d learned about story-telling from the pulps to the slicks... and I guess what we could call the near-slicks, like Argosy. Magazine tearsheet direct from the artist’s files accompanies the artwork, as does a preliminary sketch which measures 3 x 5.75”
