Description: In a woman sculptor's studio.
Comment: McGinnis is, of course, most widely associated with the many paperback cover pieces that he did over a long and influential career... coupled with his long-limbed languorous nudes from the past thirty or so years. Here's a very fine example of the type of detail work that helped make McGinnis a household name in the illustration collecting community. Accompanied by letter from the artist briefly discussing his experience with the magazine. In part: “I have fond memory of walking into the office of Helen Gurley Brown at Cosmopolitan magazine where we discussed the nature of the illustration; she was attractive warm & friendly.” Also accompanied by a full copy of the magazine.
