Comment: I try not to be biased when it comes to illustrators but, I’ve long thought that when it comes down to the actual application of paint, there were very few who could stand next to Charles E. Chambers. Here’s a great example of what he did so well… from the shifting planes of focus to the convincingly detailed furnishings that too easily could have been treated as throw-aways. Includes a copy of the mounted page from the magazine.
