Comment:  During a certain period of American illustration history, it sometimes becomes difficult to discern the usage of pictures… Here’s an example of the time when many of the leading lights of American illustration were creating things as readily employable as advertising or story illustrations. If I were to guess, I’d say that this is most likely for a magazine story… probably McCall’s, Good Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal or a similar publication.
