deSoto, Rafael

Print
Price: $9,450.00
Description: Artist paints woman’s portrait in her own blood
Comment:  I’ll go out on a bit of a limb and say that the intersection of pulp magazine cover art and portrait painters as a subject matter comprises a fairly small group. Here though is an exception. Notice how in reproduction, elements such as the blood being used as pigment have been added to make the whole thing more sinister. Includes a copy of the magazine.
Price: $9,450  (includes domestic shipping)
