Comment:  Very often, and it’s probably indicative of my personal taste, something that’s painted as precisely as this becomes soulless for me. Exactly the opposite is the case in this Carl Evers. Looking at this in-person you absolutely feel like you’re there and can smell the harbor. A mind-boggling amount of detail consistently depicted.
