Comment: In this example, one aspect that's interesting to note are the crop lines at left and bottom… for reproduction in the magazine. Seems to me that tightening it up for reproduction takes some of the character out of the composition… it is the repetition of the thick shadowy lines and the exapanses of white space that make the composition especially attractive.
