Description: PAIR: English racing car WITH Woman with wine glass
Comment: Looking at some of the pictures that Fuchs did in the early 1960’s… many would never have seen print had it not been for a publishing industry that was pushing the limits of what was both acceptable and possible. One of the main forces of the time was Herbert Mayes at Good Housekeeping. Mayes’ art directorship allowed the magazine to attract new and younger readers and that in turn made the small cadre of innovators (including Fuchs) both busy and happy. It’s, of course, not as simple as implied here, but it should get you thinking. Accompanied by a copy of the magazine.
Price: $6,250 (includes domestic shipping)
