Sheldon, Charles

Print
Price: $2,200.00

Description:  Constance Bennett resting her chin in gloved hands

Comment:  You’ll notice the difference between the printed proof (which is attached to the back of the art), and the art itself. My suspicion is that the publisher changed Sheldon’s original intent from black gloves… they would have probably accomplished that photomechanically. The reasons for such a change would make for interesting speculation. Theoretically, it could instead be a case where the gloves were originally lighter and the artist altered the original after publication. We’re unlikely to ever know the reasons for such a change.

Price: $2,200  (includes domestic shipping)
