Description:  Couple in the laboratory
Comment:  Apparently relates to the story “Hidden Eyes” by Eric Levinson. I wish I had a copy of the magazine to include, but (especially for pulps) when you pass the hundred year old mark, they can be very difficult to find. I love the mood shown here and the interplay between the two figures. The photo of the art may be a bit soft of focus… very hard to capture this without excessive glare.

Artist Sidney Riesenberg (1885-1971)
Condition Was destretched at some point and the canvas mounted to a heavy board. High-gloss varnish. Shows a couple small areas of loss specifically to the man’s apron and to the leg of his trousers. Both of those areas should be easy to see in the provided photo, framed and ready for the wall.
