Bowler, Joe

Print
Price: $3,350.00
Description:  Couple, she smelling rose
Comment:  Here’s a nice example of one of the greats of mid- to late- 20th Century illustrators. In this period, Bowler’s work is pretty much instantly recognizable and fans of the art form flock to him. It’s the highlighting of characters by flattened surrounding details that set him apart. With the frame being quite large, I show the art here both in and out of the frame… will ship to buyer either with or without the frame— whichever is buyer's preference. Someone should do a book on Bowler and I know just the person who should… so, if you hear of someone testing the waters for such a project, please embrace it.
Price: $3,350  (includes domestic shipping)
